He Got Up will be a pivotal moment for Central Florida, as the Citrus Bowl becomes a hub of celebration and hope on Easter Sunday 2016 (March 27). The event is designed to give Central Florida citizens in need the inspiration, hope, resources and connections they need to transform their lives. From a kind word, uplifting message and community togetherness, to a plate of food, medical attention, job lead, new pair of shoes, and a fresh haircut, He Got Up will provide a variety of services – both intangible and tangible – to residents of all ages.
Tim Johnson, senior pastor for Orlando World Outreach Center, is the driving force behind He Got Up. Concerned with the growing number of crises and division in communities across the United States, Johnson felt called to create an event that would unite Central Florida by bridging the divide between the haves and have-nots in our community. An inaugural event, Pastor Johnson believes He Got Up will become an annual celebration that spreads to communities throughout the United States and beyond.
Event organizers will need more than 10,000 volunteers to make He Got Up a success. If you would like more information about being a volunteer, complete the form below.
